"Regrettably, I must rate Statefarm one star despite my longstanding association with the company. While I experienced minimal issues for many years, recent occurrences have raised concerns. During a claim, I encountered inconsistencies and a lack of assistance from the claims department. Over 20 recordings document the interactions and back-and-forth communication between me and the department. Each claim was handled by a different representative, who provided conflicting information. Furthermore, I was provided with inaccurate details, and several employees appeared to be relying on pre-written responses rather than offering genuine assistance. This resulted in a chaotic situation and an unexpected increase in my premium by nearly $300. Additionally, the recovery of my vehicle took over six months. Despite my safe driving discount, my car was damaged, and neither Statefarm nor the repair shop could determine the cause. Subsequently, I discovered a recall for my vehicle in the affected area, which led to an additional $500 increase in my premium. Statefarm informed me that I had lost my safe driver’s discount due to this claim, but I was also given conflicting information, creating a recurring issue with the company. Honestly, I would suggest that you take your money elsewhere because sooner or later you’re going to have these problems with Statefarm if you don’t already have them."
